Cost of macrolane
Having been through the macrolane procedure, I really can't see that it was worth the cost. I'm starting this thread, because I would genuinely like to hear from anyone that found the cost was justfied by the results. For myself I just can't see that the modest improvement was worth the money.

RE: Cost of macrolane
It's definitely expensive. For the price some women are going to say they might as well have a full BA.

RE: Cost of macrolane
Macrolane isn't justified by the price, but by the fact that it's a safer option that having breast implants.

RE: Cost of macrolane
How much does it cost then? I heard it was as much as £1800. If that's true it seems hugely expensive for the benefit obtained. Then you have to paya gain every year for the top-up, it's not just a one off cost is it?

Yes you have to pay again for the top-up a year later, which I think is about half the original price. Over time the costs are going to mount, so in the long run it's bound to end up being a pretty expensive procedure. Confused

RE: Cost of macrolane
I'm having the macrolane procedure and I'm having 150ml in each breast, which should give me a whole cup size increase. The cost is £2900.

RE: Cost of macrolane
I was quoted £3,000 and then £1,500 for the top-up, but now I'm told there is a special offer price of £2,200 for the initial macrolane with the top-up staying the same.

RE: Cost of macrolane
Yes there are a few special offers around on macrolane at the moment, which makes me think that there aren't as many takers for it as was originally envisaged and the price has been adjusted to encourage more women to go ahead with it. You can certainly get macrolane at much less cost at the moment than even as recently as a few weeks ago.

RE: Cost of macrolane
The prices were bound to come down when it was so expensive in the first place. Hopefully someone else will produce a similar product and then with competition in the market the price is bound to be lower.
